What are the limits of art, sculpture and landscape? None; according to the work of Jason de Caires Taylor. His art installation, Vicissitudes, is located 5 meters below the water surface, off the coast of Grenada. The sculpture demonstrates growth, unpredictability, and transformation.
The symbolism of children and the creation of a favourable environment for endangered coral reefs, demonstrates the importance of managing our global ecologies for future generations. The title, vicissitudes, describes the constant state of flux the installation is in, as are our lives and landscapes.
